Old Bikers-like my self

The old ones stand out now, their numbers dwindling down. They are a sad loss to the American scene. These individualist's with worn down clothes and faces. You can still see them sometimes, the real ones, some in packs. Not as large as a while ago, sometimes alone. The alone one is the best. One who's been there a long time, staying in the life he loves. Never giving into a system that sucks you up like a vortex. If you slip just one foot into it, He's got his connections - a few like him that care for and protect each other Hanging onto the only unique lifestyle left, Like old dinosaurs, Their faces are leathered and rough by forty, but their eyes still sharp and knowing. Some are grey in the beards and braids. Some are limp in the step and some pain in the kidneys Still they know that no other life "is life." But merely a dreary journey into everyone else's monotony. He looks at the new ones, then turns away, Knowing they will never know of life on the road And of women who take it. Wild loving women who'll hang in with them, because they love it too. A women with a wild heart and a loyal soul, that's what's needed here. The new ones are shiny and young and a bit too clean. They're born in a system that now has an iron grip The new one's will never know and couldn't take "the life" I think it's a mystery, even to the old ones, Why this life is theirs, but it is, and it's the only one, When the last biker falls, like the dinosaurs, the sun will go down on a breed of heart-o-gold, Tough as nails, free spirited men. Who even at their worst, love what's theirs and protect it. In a worldwide system that is making all people as alike as manufactured dolls,
The earth will be a duller place........... When the last biker Falls.

Navy Seal Navy Seals are always taught: 1) Keep your priorities in order, and 2) Know when to act without hesitation. A Navy SEAL was attending some college courses between assignments. He had completed missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist and member of the ACLU. One day he shocked the class when he came in, looked to the ceiling, and flatly stated, "God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you exactly 15 minutes." The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop. Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed!! , "Here I am God. I'm still waiting." It got down to the last couple of minutes when the SEAL got out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him; knocking him off the platform. The professor was out cold. The SEAL went back to his seat and sat there, silently. The other students were shocked and stunned and sat there looking on in silence. The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the SEAL and asked, "What is the matter with you? Why did you do that?" The SEAL calmly replied, "God was too busy today protecting American soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid stuff and act like an butthole. So He sent me."

What's happening?
This time I sent pics. The little green Triumph I built in 1960, the other pics are from last year,
the shot with 2 guys, I'm on the left,The other guy is a friend I've been riding with for 50 years.
We were in a club called "Barbarians LAMC" formed in '57.
Most of us still get together for a reunion every year, having one next month.
I see you have a posting from another friend, Lee Thrall.
I'll be seeing him next month.
I still ride quite a lot. For street bikes I have 2 Harleys & a 1982 Honda CB1100R,

HOW TO BE HAPPY

Love God with all my heart, soul, strength and mind.
Love others as myself.
Love others as Jesus loved me.
Do not lie.
Do not steal.
Do not commit adultery.
Do not covet what others have.
Honor my father and my mother.
Do not misuse the name of God.
Worship only God, no other.
Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy and resting.
Do not make anything into an idol.
Do not murder.
